first of all,- thanks a lot for your reply.
Unfortunatelly the main aspect/problem remains the same.
I adapted my css as attached in order to get hover and select functionality. As you can see it works fine in DS1.4 but the Problem is the same in DS1.5.
Apart from not selecting in general, the RowHeaderArea isn't marked...
